Buying a home is one of the biggest investments anyone makes, it is therefore highly recommended that a Homebuyer Survey and Valuation (HSV), rather than a Mortgage Valuation, is carried out before you purchase. This report is prepared for your own benefit as opposed to the mortgage lenders’.

A HSV report is completed to a standard format set out by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, it goes into more detail than a mortgage valuation and will comment on the condition of each part of the building. The report will provide you with a good indication of the condition of the property and its level of repair, and also include an estimate of the value of the property.
