Commercial Property
On the 4th January 2009 Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs for short) were introduced for all non-domestic buildings marketed for sale or lease after that date. In addition, all public buildings over 1000m2 must have an EPC on display regardless of whether they are being leased or sold from this date.
After it has been produced, the EPC will be valid for 10 years. Only members of professional organisations that have entered into protocol with the Scottish Government may produce EPCs for existing buildings.
The Energy Report will include an assessment of the energy efficiency of the property, the CO2 emissions and advice on cost effective improvements that can be made to improve the energy efficiency together advice on achieving even higher standards.
Our Building Surveying Team at Atholls can produce Energy Performance Certificates for Non-Domestic Buildings in Scotland as a registered Non-Domestic Energy Certifier for level 3S and 4S buildings (which cover up to 95% of the UK's commercial building stock) on the BRE Global EPC Scotland Scheme.
If you want us to provide you with an EPC please contact us using our Instruct a Survey form or if you are interested in enquiring with our team about providing you with an Energy Performance Certificate for your premises, you can contact us for more information by email or using our General Enquiry form.
